Prayer Request

Pastor Peter Silumula of DAWN Ministries has asked us to pray for the following needs:

1.  A DAWN Ministries associate, Pastor Charles, was kidnapped by Islamic militants in June and is still being held under the threat of death.  Pray for the protection of Pastor Charles.  Pray God’s comfort for his family.  Pray for wisdom as Pastor Peter engages the terrorists to try to secure Pastor Charles’ release.  Pray that God will be glorified in all of this.

2.  The DAWN Ministries school bus was badly damaged in an accident.  This is the primary way in which children from remote villages are transported to school.  Pray for funds to repair or replace the bus.

I’m Back

I am back after three days at Southeastern Seminary where I have been researching and writing in an attempt to complete my D.Min. project.  Many thanks to those of you who were prayer partners with me during that time, because I made great progress in the effort.  God is good!

When I looked at my email this morning, I found this note from Pastor Peter in Andhra Pradesh, India.  I share it with you that you can join me in praying for this situation.

On June 13, at 10:10 pm (night) a  group of militants attacked on Pastor Charles and kidnapped him and devastated his family. They threatened him and sent messege that they are going to kill him if he does not give up his faith in Christ and stop preaching the Christ crucified.  The millitants took him to a secret place and started torturing him. He has wife and two kids.  We all joined praying for his safety and protection and also the Lord may touch the hearts of the millitants. Would you please join us in praying for this brother in Christ? I do appreciate your prayers. Thanks. I will be in touch with you all with the updating the situation. Also pray for me that the Lord may grant  me wisdom to deal with these group of militants in due course.  If they call me to be present before them in person, I have to get ready to take rescue for this brother to save him. Jehovah Jirah. God bless.
With love and blessings,
Pastor Peter
