The Power of Christian Love in Action

To anyone who reads my thoughts here at the Grace and Peace blog on the World Wide Web it is easily discernable that I come to the plate with a Christian world view.  I am a believer and follower of Jesus.  That being said, I realize that not everyone sees life from the same point of view.  There are those who even scoff at anyone who commits their self to follow the One whom they believe to be a non-existent myth.

One such individual is Roy Hattersley, a British journalist and politician who is a socialist and atheist.  Baron Hattersley’s satirical humor is often employed in mocking all things Christian and pointing out the failures and foibles of the followers of Jesus.  That is why I found this recent article by Hattersley so intriguing.  (Follow this link to read the article: Hattersley )

You may think it odd that a Christian would recommend that you read an article by an atheist, but I hope that reading the piece has opened your eyes to the importance of living a life of sacrificial love, even as Jesus did.  Sometimes the only thing that will grab the attention of this world and those held in bondage to unbelief is the power of Christ’s love in action.

1 - It seems to me this atheist fellow, Hattersley, is using his atheist moniker as a means of avoiding responsibility, while claiming to know the truth (with a small "t"). We clearly see a picture of his heart, i.e., the heart of all atheists - which is as hard as North Carolina clay, impenetrable. Certainly he reads the bible as contradictable because he missed the Truth (with a capital "T"), for he cannot see. John 12:40 (Comment this)

2 - Well, we can now all see that this Mr.Hattersly has no real reson to doubt God's existence, he simply has a predjudice against the Church and it's doctrine.

He is also convinced that the Church (and every religion for that matter) are a force for ultimate evil. It is then obvious that he doesn't know what Jesus said:

"Love your enemies, bless those who curse you and do good to all those who falsely persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you because of Me." (Matthew 5:44)

Overall, the Bible is a source for knowledge and hope through Jesus Christ, the Promised Saviour. Not only knowledge and hope, but also love.

Whay can't so many people see this???

It's time to spread the Word, people, and give the waking light of Christ to a World that sleeps peacefully, in the darkness of ignorance. (Comment this)
