Latest News from the Morans

Last Monday Dan walked out of his ICU room.  He is now in a regular room at the hospital.  About two weeks ago, he had a second skin graft and will need, maybe one more.  He has no open wounds and the grafts are healing in miraculous fashion.  Dan is still in a lot of pain, but his spirits are good.  He is walking and doing physical therapy.   Dan, Teal and their families are all giving glory to God for His mercy.

Click on this link (and scroll down the page to the Wed. November 8th service) to hear Dan's father Victor give a testimony to his church family.  It will bless your heart.  By the way, Teal will be back at Camp Lejeune in January to get their house packed up to move to Texas.  Dan and Teal will probably be in that area for up to two years as he recuperates from his wounds.  While we will miss them, let us continue to pray for their well being (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) and that God will continue to use them for His glory.   People in the hospital are so amazed at their faith in the Lord and His miraculous healing in Dan's body.

Here is an address for you to write a card of encouragement to this great young couple:

News Regarding Dan Moran

I have heard several good reports about Dan this week from a variety of sources.  I did receive this email from Michael Barrett today, which I will now excerpt for you:

I talked to Dan's brother's wife last night.  Through God's grace and your prayers, Dan is doing well!

He is no longer on the ventilator (this means that he is breathing on his own for those who did not go to Texas A&M).  He has started to eat some solid foods.  He is talking, but because of the breathing tube, his voice is raspy.

His skin grafts have gone very well.  They plan to do another one in two weeks.

Because of the severity of the burns, he is still being kept heavily sedated.

Please continue to pray that the expected infection will NOT come.

Thank You!

I want to thank you for your prayers, cards, phone calls, and emails over the last several days as I have been recovering from an infection that has attacked at several places in my body.  Gratefully, I am feeling much better and the fever seems to have all but abated.  I hope to be back with all of you soon.  Please know how grateful I am to have friends like you.
